Denver Dispensaries Share Tips for Smokers Concerned About Coronavirus

Denver Dispensaries Share Tips for Smokers Concerned About Coronavirus
Coronavirus is all people are talking about these days. Many cannabis users have already stocked up on their favorite products just in case they have to self-isolate at home. But if you plan on getting together with friends in the next few days and sharing your stash to help reduce anxiety, there are a few things you can do to help stay healthy. According to your local Denver Dispensary, here are a few tips and precautions you should be taking right now.

Stop the Puff and Pass Cycle
Sharing a joint with a group of friends or offering them a hit off your bong is a great way to show people you care, but it’s best to stop sharing right now. Instead, keep your germs to yourself. Encourage your friends to bring their own pipes or bongs and light up together with separate devices. This will help cut down on the germs that get shared around your social circle. Remember, COVID-19 isn’t the only virus still spreading. The flu season isn’t over yet!

Wash Your Hands
Remember all those times that your mom told you to wash your hands? She said it for a reason! Washing your hands with soap and water is one of the best ways to get rid of germs, bacteria, and viruses that you pick up when you touch items in public. Believe it or not, there is a right and a wrong way to do it and that quick 5-second scrub you normally give your hands isn’t gonna cut it.

Wet your hands with warm water and lather up. Scrub your hands for at least 20 seconds before you rinse them clean. Scrub between your fingers, the backs of your hands, your wrists, and under your fingernails. If you’re not sure how long 20 seconds is, sing “Happy Birthday” to yourself twice or sing the chorus of “Africa” by Toto. Whatever works for you. Once you rinse off, dry your hands with a clean towel or use an air dryer if you’re at a public bathroom.

Stop Touching Your Face
Anytime you touch something, your fingers can pick up the germs on the surface. This isn’t an issue as long as those germs stay on your fingers, but it can be a huge problem if you touch your face. When you head to your favorite dispensary and touch the door on your way in or are out shopping for food to satisfy your cravings for the munchies, avoid touching your face. Don’t even scratch your nose until you have a chance to wash your hands!

Stay Safe, Stay Healthy, and Enjoy Your High
At Altitude, we want everyone to stay happy and healthy this spring. If you’re feeling great, stop by our locations to stock up on cannabis. If you’re under the weather, stay home. We’ll be here to help you replenish your stash when you’re well. Remember, your health is a priority. Don’t hesitate to consult with your doctor if you think you’re getting sick. Denver Dispensary Explains How to Tell If Your CBD Products Are Legit

March 11, 2020

Denver Dispensary Explains How to Tell If Your CBD Products Are Legit
CBD is one of the most popular supplements on the market. It comes in many different forms and can be purchased legally in almost every state. This is great news for people looking to spread the health benefits that hemp and cannabis have to offer. But it’s problematic for the industry as a whole. That popularity has spurred people to get in on the action without making sure the products they’re selling have actual CBD in them. So, how can you tell if the products you have are the real deal? Your favorite weed shops in Denver want to help. Here’s what you need to look for.

It’s Made by a Reputable Company
No matter where you buy your CBD, you should always do a little research into the manufacturer. Search the internet for information on the brand. Check out their website and social media profiles. If they have them, chances are the product (and the brand) is legit. If they don’t or you can’t find information on the company, you may be better off trying something else.

It’s Made in the USA
The highest quality CBD products are made right here in the United States with hemp grown in the US. This means their products are subject to United States’ regulations and are produced to the highest quality standards possible with no contaminants. When you buy knock-off products, you risk experiencing the snake oil effect. This means there’s no appreciable amount of CBD in the product and you have no way to verify what’s actually inside the bottle. US-produced CBD products are verified by a third-party testing service. This helps ensure accuracy in dosage and concentration.

It Came from Your Favorite Dispensary
CBD is sold everywhere these days. You can find it in gas stations, grocery stores, and even at farmers markets. But that doesn’t mean you’re getting the quality you think you are. Buying CBD from your favorite dispensary is the best way to guarantee that you’re getting what you’re paying for. Dispensaries research the products they carry and make sure they’re as high-quality as possible.

You See Results
If you’re getting an inferior product or one without CBD in it at all, you won’t see the benefits you expect. In fact, you could end up feeling sick. The best way to tell if the CBD you bought is real is to track how you feel after using the products. If you notice improvements and can tell a difference when you use it regularly vs. when you don’t, the CBD is real.

At Altitude, we’re proud to offer only high-quality CBD  products and CBD-dominant cannabis. We take the time to verify the products’ quality and will make sure you only get the best. Whether you’re looking for tinctures, edibles, topicals, or concentrates, we’ve got something to suit your needs. Stop by one of our three convenient locations and let our budtenders help you find a product you’ll love. And make sure to sign up for our loyalty rewards program for added savings.

Why THC Makes a Difference in Full-Spectrum CBD Products from Your Denver Dispensary

March 5, 2020

Why THC Makes a Difference in Full-Spectrum CBD Products from Your Denver Dispensary
CBD is one of the fastest-growing supplement industries on the market. People use it for many reasons ranging from promoting healthy inflammatory responses to improving the quality of their sleep. While popular science is just starting to catch onto the benefits of cannabis and CBD tinctures available at weed shops in Denver, those using the products know just how much they help. But if you’ve ever tried hemp-based CBD products purchased online or out of state, you’ve probably noticed that they don’t work as well. So, why is that?

Cannabis-Based CBD Has THC
CBD products produced from hemp contain virtually no detectable amounts of THC. That’s why it’s mostly considered legal to sell them in grocery stores, online, and in states where marijuana isn’t legal. But CBD products available at your local dispensary contain THC. Why? Because they’re produced from marijuana, not hemp.

Though both are part of the cannabis family, only products made from marijuana plants contain THC. And that THC enhances the benefits of the CBD in every dose.

All About That Full-Spectrum Effect
Even hemp-based CBD products can be full-spectrum meaning they have more of the beneficial cannabinoids that work together to create a more noticeable effect. But those full-spectrum products won’t have any more THC.

Without THC, you’ll still get some benefits from the products. But when you combine THC and CBD, your body can get more of the goodness you’re looking for with every dose. And if you’re worried about drug tests or don’t want to experience even a slight high, taking straight CBD is perfectly fine. But if you’re looking to get the most impact from your products, adding THC will help.

What You Can Do
Let’s say you already have a bunch of CBD isolate or tinctures that you picked up at the grocery store last week. Should you throw it out just because it doesn’t have THC? Absolutely not! Just pick up a THC-based tincture at your favorite dispensary and use just a touch when you’re using your CBD products. This will give your body right combination to help you get the most out of each dose.

Remember, you don’t have to get high to see the effects. Adding THC is about rounding out the CBD products, not getting high—though you’re free to if you feel like it. Just be mindful of how much you’re using in conjunction with your CBD. All it takes is a little to enhance the benefits and properties of straight CBD products. Adding more THC won’t necessarily increase the efficacy of the CBD.

Stick to Products From Your Dispensary
If you’re looking to get the best quality CBD products that naturally contain the THC needed to make them better than others on the market, skip the grocery store. You’ll only be able to buy these items at your local dispensary. Remember, CBD made from marijuana is legal in Colorado, but regular retail stores can’t legally sell it. Stop by the location nearest you and pick up a high-quality tincture or edible today.

3 Tips for Using Cannabis from Denver Weed Shops to Help with Anxiety

3 Tips for Using Cannabis from Denver Weed Shops to Help with Anxiety
Anxiety is rapidly becoming a major problem for people of all walks of life. Our days are full of constant communication with others, technology has increased expectations for productivity in work, and things just always feel a little uncertain. While getting professional help from an experienced therapist should always be your first choice, many people have seen success from using cannabis from their favorite dispensaries in Denver to help manage their symptoms. We can’t diagnose your condition and we definitely can’t offer you medical advice, but we can offer you a few simple tips to help you use your cannabis effectively.

Choose Something You’ll Enjoy
There are tons of cannabis products out there and that means there’s one you’ll enjoy using regularly. It just might take a bit more thought than you’d like. Consider the types of things you enjoy. Do you like sweet treats? Edibles might be your thing. Are you a fan of vaping or smoking already? High-quality concentrates, shatter, or flower might be a better fit. Don’t be afraid to ask advice from your budtender. They’ll always be able to help steer you in the right direction. And if you’re not a huge fan of your first product, keep experimenting.

Start with the Smallest Dose Possible
We can’t stress this enough whether you’re using cannabis to get high or trying to use it in conjunction with a traditional medication (with your doctor’s approval, of course). Always start with the smallest dose possible. Using too much cannabis won’t give you better or faster results. Often, it will lead to feelings of paranoia and…you guessed it…worsen your anxiety. Most edible products and tinctures will have a suggested serving amount, so start with that. You can always adjust in the future. If you’re using a vape pen or flower, start with a single hit and let it mellow. Evaluate how you feel and adjust accordingly.

Keep Your Doctor Updated
Whenever you’re trying to deal with a medical condition, and yes, anxiety qualifies, you should always consult with your doctor first. You never know if the medications you’re taking might interact poorly with the cannabis, so always get an expert opinion. Don’t worry. There are tons of Colorado doctors that openly embrace the use of cannabis.

Once you get the green light from your doctor, keep them updated. Remember, cannabis is not a substitute for your other therapies and medications. If things improve, tell your doctor. If you feel worse, let them know that, too.

Cannabis Can Help
Cannabis can help some people manage their anxiety, but it should never be used as a substitute for standard medical treatments and care. Always consult with your doctor and start with the lowest dose possible. The last thing anyone should do is use so much cannabis that it aggravates their anxiety and makes things worse.

When you’re ready to buy high-quality cannabis, stop by Altitude and let our budtenders help you find the right product for your needs. And if you have a medical-use card, make sure to let us know!

Why You Should Forget About Blunts According to the Pros at Weed Shops in Denver

February 19, 2020

Why You Should Forget About Blunts According to the Pros at Weed Shops in Denver
When you think about rolling a bit fat blunt, it’s normal to get excited. But did you know that blunts aren’t the best choice if you’re looking to get the best smoking experience? Sure, they look cool and are a neat alternative to traditional joints, but do you really get to enjoy the weed you buy from Denver dispensaries when you roll a fatty? Not as much as you might think. Here’s why you need to forget about smoking blunts and switch to a bong, pipe, or joint instead.

It’s Wasteful
Blunts are so popular because they’re so big. This is what makes them look cool, but anytime you light it up, you’re burning more weed than you’re able to smoke. That means TONS of your precious bud is getting wasted between puffs. You’ll end up blowing through your stash more quickly and won’t get to enjoy your bud as thoroughly as you would with other methods. Remember, you’re inhaling the same amount of cannabis whether you’re smoking out of a bong or lighting up a blunt. Save yourself the frustration of having to replenish your stash frequently and make the switch to another smoking method.

The Tobacco Masks the Weed
If you don’t like weed but you do like smoking tobacco, blunts are your best friend. After all, you’re using tobacco wraps instead of standard rolling papers meaning you’re still getting a bit of a tobacco hit with every puff. This gives every hit a distinct tobacco-heavy flavor. If you like the taste of weed and want to be able to taste the subtle differences in each strain, those tobacco wraps won’t do you any flavors. Ditching blunts in favor of clean-burning rolling papers or switching to a bong or pipe will let you taste every nuance in every hit you take.

It’s Expensive
Unfortunately, blunts are one of the most expensive ways to consume pot. You’re using more weed every time and will have to replace your stash more often. But that’s not the only way they’re more expensive. The wraps you buy simply cost more over time. And if you’re trying to conserve cannabis and are rolling smaller blunts, you’ll go through the wraps more quickly. There’s just no way to save money with blunts. When you switch to rolling papers, the upfront cost will be far less every time you roll one up. If you switch to a pipe or bong, all you have to do is pay for the equipment once. You can reuse it indefinitely and won’t have to do anything other than buy new weed for your stash.

No Matter What, We’ve Got You Covered
At Altitude, we want you to be able to enjoy your weed whether you’re transitioning from blunts or lighting up for the first time. Stop by one of our three convenient locations and let our budtenders help you find the perfect strain and smoking gear for your needs. And be sure to check out our loyalty rewards program for the best deals on new bud.
